Masters and Doctoral Colloquium

In conjunction with

  • The Eighth International Conference on Information Integration and Web-based Applications & Services (iiWAS2006)
  • The Fourth International Conference on Advances in Mobile Computing and Multimedia (MoMM2006)

Call for Paper

iiWAS2006 and MoMM2006 invite PhD and Masters students and candidates to present, discuss and defend their work-in-progress or preliminary results in front of an international and renowned audience of researchers and developers.

The colloquium will be organized in parallel to iiWAS2006 and MoMM2006 conferences, which are going to take place 4-6 December 2006 in Yogyakarta, Indonesia.

PhD and Master students and candidates at all stages in the process are invited to submit a thesis position paper. The paper should be approximately 5-10 pages length, and should contain a problem statement, an overview of related work in the area, research methodology, current stage of the project and the expected contribution to the topics of interest supported by iiWAS2006 and MoMM2006.

Submissions in PDF format using the Austrian Computer Society style (to be found at here) should be sent by September 1st, 2006 electronically to mdc2006[at]iiwas.org.

Submissions will be reviewed carefully and the authors of accepted submissions will be asked to present at the colloquium in front of a panel, which consist of experts in the area.

The accepted thesis position papers will be published in the Austrian Computer Society book series. Authors of outstanding papers will be invited to submit an extended paper to distinguished journals
