<< TRANSPORTATION INFORMATION >>

[ How to travel to Jakarta ]

The most convenient way to travel to Jakarta is either
by air or by land.

By Air

If you are overseas you will need the service of airlines to reach
Jakarta from your hometown. Jakarta is the international
gateway to Indonesia.
Practically all international airlines stop at Jakarta.
From within Indonesia, there are several airlines that flies domestically:
Garuda, Merpati, Sempati, Lion Air, Bouraq, Bali Air,
Indonesia Airlines, etc.

By Land

If you prefer to reach Jakarta by land, you can easily do it
either by car or bus from South Sumatera or from Java and Bali.
Traveling by land to Jakarta from other places is not recommended
because it will take about three days to reach.
There are lots of inter city & inter province transport services
from many other cities to Jakarta.

From some cities in Java, you can travel to Jakarta by train.
For example, you can take the Parahyangan or Argo Gede
from/to Bandung, the Argo Bromo from/to Surabaya,
and the Senja from/to Yogyakarta, and all the cities in between.
