All half or full day tours in Bali can be reached from most hotels in Bali. All tours are arranged on tailor made situations depending on how many persons participating in any tours, all tours are accompanied by English speaking guides or any other languages based on specific requests.
For the convenience of iiWAS2012/MoMM2012 participants, there will be a hospitality desk at the conference, which will be at your disposal to help you decide which tour is the most convenient for your time and requirements. This tour will start to see the famous Barong & Kris Dance at Batubulan, proceed to the arts & handicrafts center of Bali such as gold & silver works at Celuk, woodcarvings at Mas/Peliatan, traditional & modern Balinese paintings at Ubud/Peliatan. The highlight of the tour will take you to witness the spectacular view of lake & volcano Batur at Kintamani. On the way back to the hotel, stop will also be made to the holy spring temple at Tampaksiring.

This tour will start from visiting the famous Barong & Kris dance at Batubulan, proceed to the arts & handicraft center of Bali at Celuk, Mas and Ubud. Tour will then be continued to see the holy spring temple at Tampaksiring, spectacular view of lake & volcano Batur at Kintamani as the highlight of this tour. Afterward drive down to Bangli to visit the traditional village of Penglipuran, then to the temple which was built on 9th century called Kehen temple dedicated to the Goddess of Fire. If time still permit it stop can also be made to visit Dalem temple at Sidan while on the same time you can also see the beautiful view of the rice-fields.

The tour will goes to see the eastern part of Bali with some stops to be made at Bat Cave Temple (Goa Lawah) at Kusamba, afterwards drive to the Bali Aga Village (Bali aborigines) where the living compound are identical in plan and arranged in rows on either side of wide and this village is famous for exquisite, authentic textiles (double ikat) and craft works. Tour then continued to visit the cool oasis of the Water Garden (Tirta Gangga) with its spring-fed pools and then a visit will then be continued to Puri Agung Karangasem palace is an imposing reminder of the time Karangasem was a kingdom.

The famous Tanah Lot sea temple which was built by Dang Hyang Nirartha is the first point to be visited and then followed by visiting Alas Kedaton where the monkeys living here are considered sacred. Afterwards drive to Bedugul to see the superb view of lake Beratan which is also very famous for its Ulun Danu Temple built on the shores of the lake and the spice / fruit market at Candikuning. Final stop will be made at Mengwi, was one of the main island kingdom, to see one of the grandest water garden temple on the island called Taman Ayun which was built around 1740 and symbolizing the cosmic union of sea and mountain.

Drive along the mountain and lake resorts at Bedugul, stop at the spice & fruit market at Candikuning, proceed to the splendor waterfall at Gitgit, afterwards visiting Beji temple as a rice irrigation association temple with its many symbols of earths and fertility at Sangsit, black sandy beach of Lovina, Buddhist temple Brahma Arama Wihara at Banjar. On the way back to the hotel via Pupuan – Antosari or Munduk for the scenic panorama of the two other lakes Tamblingan and Buyan along the way.

Ubud is well-known for the center of the artistic scene in Bali. On this trip you will be taken to see the stone carvings at Batubulan, continuing on to Celuk for the silver & works with its wide selection of intricate designed pieces, then to Mas / Kemenuh village renewed as the home skilled wood carvers particularly fine specimens of the woodcarvings can bee seen there. Finally see the Balinese paintings at the respected fine arts galleries in Ubud / Peliatan.

Visit the beautiful Royal Family temple which has one of the grandest temples of the island surrounded by moat built around 1740 called Taman Ayun at a little town of Mengwi, proceed to the holy monkey forest at Alas Kedaton and then final stop as the highlight of the tour will take you to the most famous temple in Bali called Tanah Lot temple which was built on 16th century on a rock jutting into the sea.

Denpasar is the capital of Bali is not generally a tourist area but a few areas worth to visit such as the Kumbasari & Badung traditional market as an interesting overview of Indonesian market with home wares, clothing, spices, fruit etc. Afterwards visit the Bali Museum was established in 1932 (closed on Monday) where you will see various exhibition of the miniature of the Bali life, and then proceed to Bali Art Center to see the arts of Bali as well as Balinese architectural illustration of the various Balinese building.

These two different dance is only perform in the evening, it is traditional dance using only oral music without any other instrument and bringing over the epic of Ramayana with the obsessive sound of a choir “cak-cak-cak” from the men sit in a circle around. You can choose one of the two different which named “Kecak Dance” and the other one called “Kecak & Fire Dance”

Drive to the northern part of Ubud to Petulu village where you will be impressed by hundreds of white heron returning home and perch on the trees of the villagers in the early evening. The white herons appeared in Petulu village in late 1965 and it is prohibited from bothering, capturing, shooting or harming them. Afterwards drive down to Ubud where you will see the traditional dance called Legong dance (subject to the schedule such as : Legong dance, Gabor dance, Ramayana ).

The Taman Burung (Bali Bird Park) is situated in Batubulan, is home more than a thousand birds from Indonesia and all over the world. Set in magnificent gardens filled with tropical plants and water features. You will be free to have a leisure walk tour at the park to observe different kind of birds, then continuing to the next door is the Bali Reptile Park which housing a collection of Komodo Dragons, snakes, turtles, monitor lizards and iguanas.

The Orchid Garden has been designed at Tohpati to allow a pleasant walk along to see the diverse variety of beautiful, interesting and rare orchids. Meanwhile the Bali Zoo Park at Singapadu is built for more than 350 species of fauna including of primates, deer, kangaroo, antelope, bears, Sumatran tigers. Visit the GWK (Garuda Wisnu Kencana) Cultural Park, the figure of the statue is Wisnu God riding on mythical bird Garuda as the symbol of mission of environmental safeguard and world savior . Continuing onto the famous Pura Luhur Uluwatu temple, is an architectural marvel situated on the edge of 300 feet steep rock facing the ocean. This temple has some of the exquisite architecture in Bali and was first built on the 11th century.

Mount Batur itself is actually just a small volcano 1717m above sea level, but its setting is in the heart of a huge crater 14km in diameter. Adjacent to the volcano is the large Batur lake, all surrounded by the walls of the crater rim which offers an impressive view. For a complete panoramic view, climb up to top of the volcano is one the most interesting sight and best to do in a very early morning. (wear good hiking shoes).
